The Japan America Society of San Diego was founded in February 2026 with a simple but powerful belief: that the friendship between Japan and the United States is best nurtured one connection at a time.

Born from a shared passion for cultural exchange and community, JASSD was created to bring together the people of San Diego and Japan through meaningful experiences — from cultural celebrations and educational programs to networking events and community gatherings.

We exist to bridge two great cultures, celebrate their shared values, and build lasting relationships that extend far beyond borders.
